A busy fun filled few weeks!
🌿 Nell’s Farmhouse Interiors — Another Step Closer to Opening Our Doors

What a few weeks it has been!
Every time we walk past the shop now, we have to stop and look at it for a moment because it is starting to feel like Nell’s Farmhouse Interiors is actually becoming real. 🥹🌿
The outside of the building has now been painted, and all of our woodwork is the most gorgeous farmhouse green. It has completely transformed the look of the building and, honestly, we absolutely love it.
And we have to say a huge thank you to some very special people who made it happen.
While we were away on our family holiday in Norfolk, our beautiful friends from church, Jodie and Bethany, worked incredibly hard on the shop for us. We genuinely feel so blessed to have friends who were willing to take care of our little shop while we took some much-needed time away with our family.
And what a holiday we had! ❤️
We had a truly stunning family holiday in Norfolk, making memories together, knowing that our shop was in such wonderful hands back in Framlingham.
Our neighbours have also been so lovely and have celebrated the transformation with us. It is such a wonderful feeling already starting to feel part of the community before we have even opened our doors.
🏡 The shop is starting to take shape
We now have internet! 😂
Which might sound like a very small thing, but when you're renovating a shop, suddenly having internet feels like a major milestone!
Our posters are also now up in the windows, telling people who we are and what we're about. So if you've walked past recently, you may have spotted us!
And, God willing, we will be opening our doors in October. 🌿
Inside, things are moving along too.
The flooring is up, the windows are done and we're getting closer and closer to the exciting part.
What's next?
Our next jobs are:
🌿 Get the new flooring laid
🌿 Paint the inside
🌿 Give the whole shop a very deep clean
🌿 Start bringing in our beautiful, carefully curated homewares
🌿 Style the shop
🌿 Fill the shelves
🌿 And finally… OPEN THE DOORS! 🎉I genuinely cannot wait for the day when we can put that sign on the door and say:
WE'RE OPEN.
❤️ A journey of nerves and gratitude
Starting this shop has been such a ride.
There have been moments of excitement, moments of complete panic, and quite a lot of wondering whether we've completely lost the plot! 😂
We've wondered whether Framlingham will like us.
Whether people will come through our doors.
Whether we'll receive enough customers.
Whether we'll choose the right things to stock.
Whether people will love the beautiful homewares we've carefully chosen as much as we do.
There are so many unknowns when you take a leap like this.
But we've tried our best.
We've researched, we've planned, we've worried, we've prayed, we've changed our minds, we've made decisions, we've probably made a few mistakes along the way and we've kept going.
And ultimately, that's all we can do.
We can't predict the future. We can't know exactly what our customers will want. But we can put our heart and soul into creating a shop that we're proud of.
And we really hope that you will love it too. ❤️
🌿 A family project
This shop has very much become a family project.
My partner, our wonderful children and I have all played our part in transforming this little building into what we hope will become a beautiful home for Nell's Farmhouse Interiors.
There have been long days, messy days, exciting days and days where we've wondered how on earth we're going to get everything done!
We've even had the covers up in the windows to protect the work inside.
Although, if I'm being completely honest, they're also partly there because I fell over twice while working on the shop and people actually saw me. 😳😂
There are definitely some glamorous moments involved in becoming a shop owner!
🏘️ Becoming part of Framlingham
One of the things we're most excited about isn't just opening a shop.
It's becoming part of Framlingham's wonderful family of independent businesses.
That is one of the things that makes Framlingham so special.
There are so many passionate, hardworking independent businesses here, and we're incredibly excited to join them.
We can't wait to meet more of our neighbours, get to know the people who live and work here, chat to our customers, make friends and hopefully become a little part of the community that makes Framlingham such a lovely place.

We're a family-run business, we're taking a huge leap of faith, and we're working incredibly hard behind the scenes to bring our vision to life.
